The Ben Schmidt-Swartz Group is an electro-jazz-pop band that focuses on original music and experimentation with style. We blend jazz improvisation with folk, electronic, pop, and minimalism. Largely original, the group improvises freely, plays new music, and cherry picks some of the worlds most popular songs to pull apart and prod! Fun ensues.

Meghan Stagl is a jazz vocalist and pianist who has been an active member in the Chicago music scene since her move to the city in 2019. A unique voice in the jazz community, her singing has been described as “striking a satisfying balance between a breathy voice and one of depth and body” (Lydia Liebman).
