Ben-David and Sarah are joining forces to bring their listeners a fun blend of their originals and covers in this first time collaboration!
BEN-DAVID WARNER is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter with one foot in the choral music world and one in the folk music world. A former member of Scythian, he is currently a full time choir director and professor, as well as a touring folk musician bringing his blend of Irish Americana to a city near you. Trained on the classical violin, Ben-David plays guitar, banjo, fiddle, and just about anything with strings that he can get his hands on. Ed Helms’s The Bluegrass Situation praises his “Built These Walls” as a “blue-collar ballad we can all get behind.” He recorded his debut solo album Red Rockin' Chair in 2015.
SARAH WILCOX is a singer-songwriter and composer from the DMV area. Her style is a vibrant mix of folk and jazz, and her decade-long career in music can be traced through her powerful melodies and unique harmonic structures. In addition to playing solo, Sarah can also be seen performing with her band around the DMV area. Sarah's influences include songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Sufjan Stevens, and Bon Iver. Sarah’s heartfelt and captivating performance style invites her audience to connect with the true heart of her songs in a deeper way.
