Belzin Whistlez - The Lady's Improving

Belzin Whistlez (He/They) is a Colorado Springs based drag, burlesque, and theater performer. They are thrilled to finally bring their own particular brand of showmanship to the ICONS stage in a concert format, and couldn’t be more honored and humbled by the opportunity. ICONS has truly become their home and family over the past few years - they are so grateful for this venue and the visibility it offers for queer talent to truly shine!

With a quick wit and a bald head, Belzin takes no prisoners when bringing their gift of gab to the stage, thrusting it on ANY audience willing to tolerate their long-winded stories and listen to their repertoire of belted torch songs. Sammy Gleason (He/They) is a Colorado Springs-based actor, costume designer, prop artisan, and puppet builder/performer. Recent costume design: The Legend of Georgia McBride (CSFAC), The 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Avenue Q (Sangre de Cristo). Prop Design: In The Heights, ELF The Musical (CSFAC). Puppet Design: The Little Mermaid, ELF The Musical (CSFAC), Avenue Q (Sangre De Cristo). They were most recently seen onstage tapping their toes as Scuttle the Seagull in The Little Mermaid at The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and earning their wings as Clarence the Angel (et al) in It’s A Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play for which they won a Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award for best Supporting Actor in a Play. Previous acting credits: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Sangre De Cristo), 9 to 5, Shrek The Musical, The Producers, The Drowsy Chaperone, Guys and Dolls, Buyer and Celler, Peter and the Starcatcher (CSFAC), Complete Works…Abridged (UCCS Theatreworks). They are also one-third of WYNOT Productions - a Pueblo-based production company specializing in custom props, costumes, and puppets for stage, screen, and cosplay.
