Belwest at Sound by the Sea - Panel and Music mixer

Sound by the Sea teams up with Belwest on August 26th, organizing a Music Industry afternoon mixer event. Guest speaker and violinist Nathalie Bonin and Light in the Attic Records label manager Ryan Wilson will play some key tracks and discuss their first hand insights in the music industry in Southern California.

Afterwards we will open up the floor for a Q&A session with drinks and fingerfood. To close the evening, Light in the Attic will play a finely curated DJ Set on the Sound by the Sea hifi system. An event not to be missed by any music lover!

We are delighted to host a panel with:

Nathalie Bonin - San Francisco-born Nathalie Bonin will talk about her career as violinist and composer and present her recent album ‘Aspirations’, a selection of poignant violin pieces, variously supported by strings, harp, cello and piano. Pensive, wistful and melancholic.

Ryan Wilson is the General Manager for Light In An Attic Records & Distribution, based in Los Angeles and Seattle.

Light In The Attic Records began in 1997 when founder Matt Sullivan's European hostel trip took an unexpected turn with a car crash in Madrid. The crash introduced him to Iñigo Pastor, owner of Spanish labels Vampi Soul and Munster Records. The two bonded over music and Matt shifted his plans to learn the record business in Spain. Back in Seattle, Matt and friend Josh Wright launched Light In The Attic in 2001, initially focusing on producing concerts. They later transitioned to reissuing albums and growing a diverse catalog, including releases by Sixto Rodriguez, Betty Davis, and others. LITA expanded with offices in Los Angeles, a Seattle record store, and multiple subsidiary labels, embracing both classic reissues and emerging artists.
