As the nights slowly shorten,
As the wheel turns once more,
We find ourselves at the mid way point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice when the Bel-fires are lit and the Goddess is ready to receive the God from Spring that has matured into manhood, as the courting games commence and the flowers bloom we welcome you to join us in celebration at Pangenta’s Cauldron for Beltane!
We will meet at 1.00pm in the car park look for a Witch holding a broomstick at 1.20pm you will be lead down the path across the bridge deep into the park to a clearing amongst the trees.
Itinerary:
- 1.00pm the Witches gather
- 1.20pm the procession from the car park to the Ritual site
- 1.30pm Beltane ritual and dance the Maypole
- 2.30pm Picnic late lunch and poetry competition
- 3.30pm Fashion Parade
- 4.00pm Hobby Horse & Broomstick races
- 4.30pm Winners and prizes announced
Prizes to be won! for best dressed, best decorated Broomstick or Hobby horse, Poetry competition and fastest Hobby horse or Broomstick at the Spring Broomstick Hobby horse races!
What you will need to bring:
- packed lunch and beverages for the picnic
- Cushion, chair or picnic rug to sit on
- Hobby Horse or Broom for the races
- bring along a Beltane / Spring inspired poem that you have written if you wish to enter the poetry competition.
What to wear?
- Spring themed attire and sensible shoes, there will be a prize for the best dressed.
This is a free event, donations are always welcomed but not required. There are amenities, running water and BBQ facilities available on site.
