I invite you to join me for a celebration of Beltane, the ancient Celtic fire festival that marks the mid-way point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, where Spring is at its height! This season is all about the union of masculine and feminine, finding joy, and falling in love with the pleasures of life itself!
Beltane is more frequently known as "May Day" and is often celebrated with bonfires, dancing the maypole, and dressing up as the Green Man to welcome in the beginning of summer. Beltane is often seen as a time when the "veil" between this realm and the fairy (faerie) realm is thin, and magic in the living world is easier to find!
As a trainee Priestess of Cerridwen, (the Goddess of inspiration and transformation) this ceremony will be influenced by the Avalonian Tradition, weaving in aspects of the Goddess and the elements throughout.
What to expect:
Arrival is 2pm. As you arrive, you will be welcomed into the space and invited to sit in circle as we ground & centre in the sweet Spring energies through some breathwork and visualisation before we create a sacred space by calling in the elements and the Goddess.
This celebration will be focusing on the playfulness and magic of the season through:
- Intention setting to welcome Love and joy into our lives.
- A blessing with the four elements to honour the union of divine masculine and feminine.
- Storytelling about this magical time in Spring.
- Seasonal herbal tea to open the heart.
- A lovely guided meditation to end.
I adore storytelling so please feel free to bring any short stories or poems about Beltane, faeries, and Love should you have opportunity to share.
The ceremony will end with a meditation so please bring with you a yoga mat/blanket to lie on. See below for list of recommended items to bring.
The ceremony is open to anyone aged 16+
Items to bring:
- yoga mat or something to sit/lie on, and a cushion if necessary. There are chairs at the venue should you need one.
- blanket to keep warm during meditation
- bottle of water
- short stories/poems of Beltane/May should you wish to share
If you have any questions, concerns, etc please feel free to contact me!
Blessings,
Willow x
