Please come and join us in celebrations! ? ? ? ? The Beltane festival is a pagan celebration of fire, fertility, and rebirth, steeped in rich cultural significance. Historically held on the eve of May 1st, it marks the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Our ancestors believed this was a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead was at its thinnest, allowing spirits to cross over and mingle with mortals.
The festival involved lighting bonfires, performing rituals to appease the gods and goddesses, and dancing around the maypole. It was a time of community, joy, and celebration of the natural world.
how to celebrate
Bring a offering ? potluck item ? or a birthday gift for the host ? BUT Nothing is required!
Offerings: are left on the altar to propitiate and please certain deities or spirits. Altar offerings vary from incense, ribbons, burning herbs, food, drinks, money, flowers, fruits, plants, trinkets and various other treasures.

Walpurgis Night, 30 April, welcomes spring by lighting huge bonfires and celebrating the end of a long winter by singing songs (drinking if of age).
The word ‘Beltane’ roughly translates as ‘bright fire’!
