About this Event

In addition to the London Festival of Architecture 2026 lecture series, participants will also be invited to join hands-on session in Arabic calligraphy. By bridging scholarship, craft, and performance, our event programme establishes inclusive spaces for learning, dialogue, and collective cultural expression.

The workshop will be delivered by Hammad Haider, Hammad is an Architect, Arabic calligraphist, designer, and urban sketcher. His work fuses architectural form with cultural motifs, creating art that carries depth with unique narratives. He has pioneered Muslim representation in Architecture and calligraphy, combining creative excellence with outreach.

As part of the London Festival of Architecture, this calligraphy workshop will involve an introduction to the art form, its history, various types, and examples. This is followed by an interactive segment to practise letters, words, and names in the Thuluth script using various tools.

Event organised in partnership with Palestine Collective and the London Festival of Architecture.
