Belonging in School resource launch event at Robinson College, Cambridge
About this Event
Join us in Cambridge on September 20th (17:00-20:00) to celebrate the launch of a new inclusive education resource, Belonging in School. This free, downloadable resource aims to support inclusive policy development at individual school level by highlighting productive changes and strategies for planning.
Everyone is welcome at this free event! It may be of particular interest to professionals working in/with mainstream schools, researchers working on education or neurodiversity topics, or people from educational organisations.
Following the welcome reception and poster showcase, we will premiere our 45-min webinar, a recorded introduction to the Belonging in School resources. What are they, how might you use them, and what are the key strategies they cover? This webinar will be followed by a live panel discussion on “visions for the future of inclusion in mainstream schools”.
Confirmed panelists include:
• Heba Al-Jayoosi, Assistant Head and SENCo at Mayflower School, Tower Hamlets; PhD researcher at the Centre for Research in Autism and Education, UCL IOE
• Sally Hogg, Senior Policy Fellow, Centre for Research on Play in Education, Development & Learning, Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge
• Becky Clark, Speech and Language Therapist, ClarkSLT
• Professor Holly Joseph, Institute of Education, University of Reading
We are very excited about the Belonging in School resources, and hope you will join us to celebrate their launch and talk inclusive education!
