“you are meant to be here and we want you here”
This will be an afternoon of coming home. Coming home to oneself, to a small and loving group of women who are also coming home to themselves. This workshop is for any woman who has felt wrong footed in her life, any woman who has struggled with feeling a sense of belonging either by feeling like they’re too much, not enough, or simply don’t fit the mold. For those who have fought hard and struggled long to find belonging we say “you are here, you are meant to be here and we want you here.”
Benefits you will experience:
-Learn to love your whole self, no parts left out from the warmth of self love.
-Root into a deep and embodied sense of belonging from which you can access your personal power.
-Unlearn behaviors of self abandonment like people pleasing, holding back and hiding your true wants and desires.
-Start to create relationships from a more authentic place within yourself, so you can show up fully and appreciate your loved ones for who they are.
-Learn to accept yourself on a deeper level so you can show up in relationships fully and offer space for others to do the same.
The afternoon will include:
-Guided meditation
-process art (intended to be messy and loose, unedited and free flowing)
-group process along the theme of belonging
-Group practice designed to help each of us feel held and fully seen.
More on the process art portion of the day:
The invitation for the process art portion of the day will be to represent the part of you that responds most strongly to the idea of Belonging. You are invited to express in whatever way naturally flows for you. All art supplies will be provided. You may choose to create your work in a journal or sketchbook of your own, however paper of many different types will be provided for your use.
This is not a time for the editor, analyst or perfectionist to control your expression. This is the time for your inner child to connect with the part of you that responds to the idea of BELONGING. How does this want to be expressed? What colors, lines and textures come forth onto the paper? No previous experience with process art is necessary. Anyone can engage in this process.
Important note: this event takes place in a private residence which is home to a smallish (25 lb.) dog named Frank. He may not be spending the afternoon with us but anyone with serious allergies may not be able to tolerate the presence of fur/dander that may be present.
