SATURDAY 14th FEBRUARY 2026
Kassandra is a Spanish professional dancer and performer working and living in the UK. She is based on the Surrey/Hamphsire border and often travels across the UK and London to perform or teach.
An award winning performer, Kassandra was one of the resident dancers at the well-known monthly showcase arabesque nights that ran for a many years in Chiswick. For a while she was part of a bellydance company and travelled within the UK to perform in theatres.
Over the years she has studied with many renown teachers, and is a graduate from the Drumzy school and continues to expand her professional development whenever possible, with the aim to travel to key countries like Egypt often for inspiration and training (And costume shopping!)
*Date: Saturday 14th February 2026
* Time: 11.30- 4.30pm (doors open 10.30am). Each workshop 2 hours
*Venue: Kidlington Football Club, Yarnton Road, Kidlington, Oxon, OX5 1AT
* Workshop 1: ‘RHYTHMS AND TAQSIM- Musical Interpretation’ (2 hours open level)
In this workshop, Kassandra will teach you a variety of Middle Eastern rhythms and how to interpret them through dance combinations that are often specific to each rhythm. Essential knowledge not only for the inquisitive mind but also for those that choreograph too. Taqisim is the improvised section in a song where the dancer works with a solo instrument. You will learn how to express each instrument through movements in different parts of the body. This in turn will enhance confidence, allowing the dancer to really connect with their dance experience on a deeper level.
* Workshop 2: ‘ADDING GOLDEN ERA GLAMOUR TO YOUR DANCING’ (2 hours open level)
In this workshop, Kassandra will teach you technique and combinations from the Golden Era of bellydance. We will be looking at key moves from some of the stars of yesteryear, Learn how to incorporate these moves into your own dancing, and be the star of your own silver screen. You will also learn a short choreography to put all the moves together. YOU GET TO PERFORM ON STAGE, ALONGSIDE KASSANDRA! This is a wonderful opportunity, not to be missed.

TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE TO ANOTHER EVENT BUT MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER PERSON BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT, SHOULD YOU NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT FOR ANY REASON.
Schedule:
10.30-doors open – chance to have a cuppa and a catch up.
11.30- 1.30 - WORKSHOP 1
1.30- 2.30– Lunch break- buffet lunch provided and included in ticket price. Chance also to browse the bazaar and catch up with belly-dance friends
2.30- 4.30 - WORKSHOP 2
4.30- 6.15- Tea/coffee and biscuit refreshments (available 4.30- 5.00ish) and chance to browse the full bazaar. Chance to sit, relax and get made up and changed whilst the room is transformed ready for the evening.
6.30- Doors re-open for evening CASBAH CAFÉ
7.15pm Show begins
* AMPLE FREE PARKING at the venue and regular buses from Oxford to Kidlington and bus stop nearby. Also Oxford Parkway train station nearby (maps and directions upon request)
