Bella Coat with optional Expansion Packs Class with Sandi

The Bella Coat is a creative canvas for wearable fabric art! The base coat pattern features two style options, both of which include inseam pockets, a stand collar, and a separating zipper closure. The lining is not part of the quilting and can be made from quilting cotton, minky, or sateen (quilt backing is sometimes made from this). There are 2 expansion packs - Arcs & Beauties and the Accent Sleeves (which also work with the Hood expansion pack) with will allow you to add foundation-pieced embellishments. The Hood expansion pack adds an optional hood as a built-in or removable part of the design.
The first two classes will be dedicated to design & planning, choosing the right size and any needed pattern adjustments, and beginning the cutting and construction process of your coat. The instructor will work with students individually to help you make your chosen coat as simple or as elaborate as you want. Using the expansion packs is not required, but you will learn how to integrate them if you choose.
The last class will be about construction and putting the finishing touches on your coat. In order to finish this project in two weekends, you will most likely need to complete some additional work between classes. This project is a skill-builder that will challenge your creativity and help you grow your sewing skills. If you have ever wanted to wear your quilting, this is the project for you!
