Belden Brick Company Tour

This event is open to all architects, engineers, and architectural students. Must have a minimum of 35 attendees registered by the end of January in order to conduct tour.

The day starts at the Snyder Brick and Block location on West Dorothy where a charter bus will transport attendees to Sugarcreek, Ohio. The first tour begins at approximately 9:30 AM at a Belden Brick Company plant. Attendees must bring a hard hat to wear on the tours.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant at approximately 12:30 PM, followed by another plant tour. The program will cover a minimum of two types of brick plants; one sand mold brick and one period tunnel kilm.

The brick manufacturing process will be explained in depth from start to finish, and various styles and sizes of bricks will be reviewed by the tour guides.

AIA credit will be provided by Belden Brick for all the tours.

The return bus to Dayton will depart around 3:00 PM for a 6:00 PM arrival back at Snyder Brick and Block.
