About this Event

New to climbing or need a refresher? This clinic is designed to give you the tools needed to safely top rope climb and belay. Topics covered will include proper use of equipment, climbing knots, proper communication and protocols, how to belay effectively and additional safety techniques.

As our climbing community grows, we are happy to offer this free clinic to Manitoba section and St Boniface section members. Our experienced ACMG instructors Trisha and Ray assure you a positive and enjoyable experience. If you have previous belaying experience but it has been a while, you can still highly benefit from this clinic!

Once registered, our trip leaders Ray and Trisha will contact you with more details. To make life easier for our volunteer trip leaders, please register at least 48 hours before the club climb.

Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. The waiver must be signed in the presence of the trip leader so the trip leader can witness the signature.

Definition of  "Legal Guardian" – A biological parent is typically the legal guardian of a person under the age of 18.
