DAVE BAINBRIDGE & SALLY MINNEAR

Quoted as “a genius of immeasurable proportions" by Nick Beggs of Steve Wilson, Steve Hackett and Kajagoogoo fame.
DAVE BAINBRIDGE is co-founder of Iona the renowned and celebrated folk/rock/ambient band and also the keyboard/guitarist in Lifesigns and The Strawbs.
The concert will feature emotive guitar, solo bouzouki, piano and keyboard improvisations, traditional jigs, reels and airs with some great songs from Dave Bainbridge's band Iona and his solo albums.
SALLY MINNEAR has been the vocalist on Bainbridge's songs since the duo formed in 2015. Previously Sally was the lead vocalist in the touring production of Michael Flatley’s hugely successful dance spectacular ‘Lord of the Dance’.
Sally is the daughter of multi-instrumentalist Kerry Minnear of the vastly respected and influential '70's progressive band Gentle Giant.

Beki Hemingway performs live as a duo with Randy Kerkman.

Originally base in Chicago, Nashville, and moved to Denver in Colorado along the way, it has been said that Beki writes and sings some of the “best songs you’ve never heard.”
Her long and varied career has found her singing in several bands, including comical punk-rockers This Train, as well as singing live and studio backup vocals on everything from industrial to inspirational music.
Things really clicked when she started collaborating with Randy Kerkman in the late 1990’s, releasing 5 CDs on the Minneapolis-based indie Salt Lady Records, performing up to 150 shows per year, and sharing the stage with nationally and internationally acclaimed singer/songwriters such as Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin, and Duke Special.
After several years on hiatus living a “normal life” as a tour guide and Deputy Sheriff in Denver, Beki and Randy released a 6-song ep entitled I Have Big Plans For The World and followed up with 2017’s Whins and Weather. Produced by Kerkman and Commitments guitarist Conor Brady in Dublin, Ireland, “Whins and Weather” documents songs written around the year the couple sold their home, quit their jobs, and committed to a renewed life of “music, travel, and service.” This was followed by another top album production with Conor Brady called Earth And Asphalt.
Beki and Randy have taken their songs to Poland, Czechia, Turkey, and Romania as well as playing in Ireland, UK, & USA regularly.

ABOUT US
One of the inspirations behind Acoustic Nights @ The Barn is to introduce high-quality independent music at an affordable ticket price reaching out to the local lively community. The Barn concert buzz is an intimate gig aiming to attract the local neighbourhood and wider community creating an opportunity to make social connections and interact with others in an informal, friendly and entertaining environment.
Eating together is one of the coolest parts of the unique atmosphere where food and ethically sourced coffee is available prior to and at the concert interval.
The Barn Coffee Shop, based in Meanwood, an inner suburb of Leeds, love to see community activities and groups meeting in the coffee shop and exist to see loneliness reduced in the local area. Volunteering opportunities and training and work experience placements are available for local individuals including: young people, people with learning difficulties, those seeking work/returning to work, and the older generation looking to keep active. As a social enterprise, they give all their profit to help local community projects.
After covering overhead costs the Acoustic Nights door money is given to the artist as they depend on income from live performances to finance their expenses and music vision.
