What Is This About?

Do you sometimes feel that a noisy environment, intense emotions, or others' reactions put your body into an alert state?

Dr. Stephen Porges’ concept of Neuroception explains how our nervous system automatically, while bypassing our conscious mind, constantly evaluates whether we are safe or facing a potential threat. This can be even more intense for Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs), as their brains process information deeply. Their "internal radar" is much more sensitive and easily triggered.

At its core, the reason HSPs struggle to unwind or show up authentically is often because their nervous system simply feels unsafe. To cope with their surroundings and avoid conflict, which their mind registers as a threat, HSPs may over-accommodate, burying their own needs. Over time, this can bring deep frustration and exhaustion.

What Is This About?

In this workshop, we will look through the lens of nervous system care. Through shared reflections, neural exercises, and creative art-making, we will cultivate a deep sense of inner safety that empowers us to live more authentically every day.

🌟 We are thrilled to invite Khyati from Singapore to share her experiences and reflections on nurturing sensitivity, and to introduce Thinking Pairs (Cantonese translation can be offered). From her experience, Thinking Pairs are an emotionally and cognitively grounding practice in regulating our nervous system to sufficiently release feelings and unlock quality independent thinking.

What Could I Walk Away With?

• A new depth of clarity, insight, and self-connection

• A renewed ability to think independently, without mental noise or external interference

• Practical takeaways for nurturing sensitivity in your life and relationships including:

  • The somatic experience of using creative expression to soothe and celebrate your sensitive nervous system.
  • A profound sense of relational validation, sharing your artistic creations and being safely witnessed by a supportive community
