Being Mixed Embroidery Workshop with Hank/G41

Join us for a free embroidery workshop for mixed people. All skill levels welcome, no prior experience is necessary!

In this workshop we’ll show you some basic embroidery techniques to help you get started on your own projects, inspired by your thoughts and feelings on being mixed. We’ll start the session with a short drawing exercise centred around our experience as mixed people, and we’ll help you turn your drawings into embroidered pieces!

This workshop will be hosted by Hank - G41, and Eleni from the Being Mixed committee.

All materials provided, just bring yourselves :) 

Yummy vegan food provided - let us know of any dietary requirements!

This space is for people identifying as mixed race, bi-racial, multi-racial only.

Cancellation Policy & Sickness: If you have to cancel, please let us know 48 hours before the event, either via our Instagram, email, or WhatsApp. This enables us to ensure other people can attend the event.

If you are showing any symptoms of a cold, Covid-19, or any other contagious illness please do not attend any of our events! You'll be missed, but we have to prioritise the safety of attendees and make sure that immunocompromised people are able and comfortable to participate.

Venue Accessibility: Glasgow Zine Library has step-free access to the venue. There is a public wheelchair accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.

There is a box of masks upon entry to the space and there is no need to ask for one. Hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue. The venue has a dehumidifier which acts as an air purifier and has HEPA filters.
