"One of the most disturbing avant-garde films ever made."
- Natalia Keogan, Paste Magazine
"The experimental 'metaphysical splatter film' you absolutely have to see."
- Tarryn Gaherty, Collider
"Disturbing homemade horror steeped in the occult. The movie isn’t for the faint of heart. A mindbending exploration of life and death filmed in grainy black-and-white."
- Aimee Ferrier, Far Out Magazine
Begotten is the creation myth brought to life, the story of no less than the violent death of God and the (re)birth of nature on a barren earth.
