This class runs 5 weeks, September 8 - October 6, Monday's from 5:30-6:30pm. Registration available at fencewmfa.com!
Beginner Foil fencing course designed for youth with no prior fencing experience. The course is taught by experienced fencing coaches and initially covers safety and etiquette, familiarization with fencing equipment, and rules of the sport.
Weekly classes progress through basic stances and footwork, bladework, and simple tactics. The goal of the class is to provide a well-rounded introduction to Foil fencing with plenty of opportunities for supervised bouting and is a prerequisite to joining WMFA’s continuing youth program.
