Your Instructor

Yunting Li is a talented ceramic artist renowned for her intricate and innovative creations. With a background in fine arts and a deep passion for clay, Yunting's work merges traditional techniques with a contemporary twist. Her fascination with color and organic forms is evident in each handcrafted piece.

Hailing from a family of artists, Yunting's artistic journey began at an early age. She studied ceramics at Jingdezhen University of Ceramics (China) and Arita College of Ceramics (Japan), where she developed her exceptional skills in throwing, underglaze and overglaze painting, sculpting, and glazing. Drawing inspiration from the play of color, light and shadows in nature, her ceramics often evoke a sense of harmony and tranquility.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Yunting's expertise is further demonstrated through her role as a technician and retail associate at the esteemed Laguna Clay Company. Her hands-on experience with various clay types and glazes has enriched her understanding of the medium, allowing her to push her creative boundaries.

Based in Los Angeles, Yunting continues to explore new techniques and experiment with form and function. Her commitment to pushing the boundaries of ceramic art has led to collaborations with other artists and participation in numerous group exhibitions. With her hands firmly in the clay, Yunting aspires to not only create art but also to inspire a deeper appreciation for the beauty and versatility of ceramics.
