Learn the skills and safety protocols necessary to enjoy technical tree climbing on your own – for profession or recreation! Students are introduced to Moving Rope Systems(MRS)/Doubled Rope Climbing Technique(DdRT) given its dependability, consistency, and safety; and allows you to work on skills utilized for all climbing systems. The course covers proper use and care of equipment and skills needed to inspect a tree, install a climbing system, ascend, maneuver around the canopy, and return to the ground safely.
All equipment needed for class is provided & you are introduced to a variety of equipment during class. In addition to the 2-days of instruction (classroom & in-tree), students receive a copy of Beginning Tree Climbing: Climbing Tree Using Rope & Saddle climbing manual and 4 post-class climb opportunities. Ages 16 & older. 8:00am-4:30pm both days. $535.00
