Learn the art of cutting stone! You will learn how to turn a rough stone/slab into a beautiful shaped and polished cabochon ready to be set in jewelry or for your display case. You will learn the tools used to cut stone, get comfortable working with equipment, and will cut Brazilian Agate (provided) into a calibrated 25x 18 oval shape. This class is one of the requirements for the open lapidary studio.

Is this class loud?

Yes. You will be working with loud equipment (earplugs are provided).

Do we have to wear masks?

No, masks are optional. We do have a stage in the stone cutting process where masks are required (provided as well)
