BEGINNING KNITTING CLASS

Class size limited to 8 students

This workshop is the first in a series that will help you build your knitting skills. Each class will feature a new skill to add to your knitting prowess.

This workshop is ideal for those who have never knit before, and for those who would like a refresher of the basics. You will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and how to bind off. After this class you will have the skills needed for knitting items such as baby blankets, scarves, and dish cloths.

Supplies you will need:
* 1 Skein Bulky Weight Yarn (Size 5 on the Yarn Standards Scale) in a light or bright color. When choosing your yarn avoid fuzzy yarn, multicolor yarn, and dark yarn.
* Knitting needles (either a pair of straight needles or a 20” or 24” circular needle) in US size 10 (5.75 mm or 6.0 mm)
* Scissors
* Note taking supplies
* Feel free to bring a snack
