In this two- day beginning workshop, learn all the drawing fundamentals!
About this Event

In this 2 day workshop (Sat. June 17 and Sat. June 24), learn all the drawing fundamentals utilizing charcoal and a variety substrates! The workshop will cover 4 main lessons: Light and Form, Proportion, Perspective, and the planes of the human head. If you've ever wanted to know how to draw, or how to draw better - this is the class for you!

Skill Level: Beginner

Dates: Sat., June 17 and Sat., June 24

*Students must participate in both workshop dates

  • Register by Saturday June, 3rd to take advantage of the Early Bird Rate.

Materials: All materials will be provided by instructor

Student Capacity: Min: 5 | Max: 15

  • This Workshop Requires Pre-Registration. If the minimum required attendance is not met by Tuesday, June 13th, class will be cancelled and/or rescheduled.

About the Artist:

Lydia Rae Black was born in Mississippi and in her early life relocated with her family to Morgan Hill, attending public schools in the area and graduating from Live Oak High School. She is currently employed as a technician in the Art and Art History Department at San Jose State University, instructing students on fabrication and the proper use and application of materials in their artwork. She's been involved in the art community of the bay area since 2009, and exhibited her paintings in various galleries and museums.
