Whether you last held a pencil at school or you’re just curious to see where a blank page can take you, this friendly, four-week course will open the door to the joy of drawing.Led by Roger Towndrow – former Head of Drawing and Fine Art at Falmouth University – each session focuses on a core characteristic of drawing. Roger will share simple demos and inspiring examples, before inviting you into an open, exploratory drawing time.
You’ll be free to choose your own direction:
Draw from objects in the room
Work imaginatively from your mind’s eye
Explore from photos or other references
Roger will be on hand throughout to help you develop your ideas, experiment with materials, and discover new techniques. Each session ends with a relaxed group discussion, where we share work, swap thoughts, and explore any questions that arise.
Come ready to play, experiment, and surprise yourself — by the end of the course you’ll have not only new skills, but also the confidence to keep drawing your own way.
