Beginning & advanced painting class with Elizabeth Spencer

Salmagundi offers a variety of Art Classes, all open to the public. Spots must be reserved ahead of time. We can not accept cash that day or credit card purchases at the time of the class. Attendees must bring their own art supplies. Please use either dry medium or a wet medium that is water-soluble. Easels and tables are provided. Students must bring their own references for painting classes.

About the Instructor

Elizabeth Spencer has been painting and exhibiting for over 20 years. She is an award winning Resident Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club who also serves on the Art Committee and the Junior/Scholarship Committee.

She is a Life Member of the Art Students League who has studied with Daniel Greene, Richard Pionk, Gregg Kreutz, Mary Beth McKenzie, Peter Cox and Frank Arcuri among other notable artists. Ms. Spencer enjoys experimenting with a wide range of traditional and experimental fine art techniques.

Her work is represented in many collections throughout the United States as well as Europe and the Far East.

Ms. Spencer is a full-time painter who works out of her studio on Union Square.
