About this Event
The overpopulation of white-tailed deer, increased urbanization, and climate change are just a few of many conservation challenges impacting New Jersey today. This class will provide an inside look into real-world conservation techniques employed by the Duke Farms stewardship team. Participants will learn how Duke Farms measures the success of our habitat restoration plans by conducting a hands-on survivability survey of plants at a recent planting site.
In the Beginner's Stewardship series:
- Native vs. Invasive Plant Workshop (Jul 11)
- Vegetation Monitoring Workshop (Aug 8)
- Plant Survivability Workshop (Sep 12)
- Native Seed Harvesting Workshop (Oct 10)
