Discover the joy of working with clay in this relaxed and welcoming five-week evening class, suitable for complete beginners. During this course we will gently guide you through the fundamentals of pottery. You’ll be introduced to both hand building and wheel throwing techniques, giving you a well-rounded foundation and the confidence to start your ceramics journey. Over the five weeks, you’ll explore a range of simple but rewarding projects, with opportunities to create pieces such as coiled vessels, slab-built forms, pinch pot creations and functional thrown pots on the wheel. Each session is designed to build your skills step by step, with plenty of guidance and encouragement along the way. This course is as much about enjoying the process as it is about learning new techniques. Expect a calm, supportive atmosphere where you can take your time, get your hands messy, and create something truly unique. No previous experience is needed; just bring your curiosity and a willingness to have a go. The course fee includes all materials and glazed work to take home.
