Beginner's Tetrapak Printmaking Class

Looking for a creative reset after work? Step into a relaxed, small-group workshop where you’ll learn how to turn discarded Tetra Pak cartons into beautifully detailed prints.

This evening class is designed for adults who want something hands-on, social, and genuinely rewarding, whether you’re completely new to printmaking or already making art and want to explore a fresh technique.

What makes TetraPak printmaking special?
It’s accessible, low-tech, and surprisingly versatile. By working into the surface of recycled packaging, you’ll create plates that can produce rich textures, fine lines, and layered imagery, all without the need for expensive equipment.

What you’ll do
Over two hours, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the full process:

• Preparing and cutting your TetraPak plate
• Drawing and mark-making techniques to create your image
• Inking your plate and experimenting with tone and contrast
• Hand-printing your work to produce a small series of unique prints

You’ll leave with your own finished prints and the skills to continue at home.

The vibe
This isn’t a rigid class, it’s a focused, welcoming space where people chat, experiment, and get absorbed in making. Expect a calm, creative atmosphere with plenty of one-to-one guidance.
