In this workshop, you will learn the signature Tabbey Bobbin Method—our beginner-friendly, jargon-free approach to pattern drafting. Instead of trying to fit into rigid, commercial shop sizes, you will learn how to unlock your unique body measurements and translate them directly into a custom paper pattern that fits you beautifully.
This easy-glide, elasticated A-line skirt is the ultimate beginner garment project, making it the perfect foundation for your sewing journey.

What You Need to Know About Fabric:
We have our own small selection of fabrics available at the studio, but you might want to bring your own to make sure it matches your personal style!
If you choose to bring your own, please follow these guidelines:
- Quantity: Bring at least 2 meters of fabric.
- Fabric Recommendations: Since we are bypassing tricky stretch fabrics for this beginner class, we highly recommend lightweight, stable woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, linen, viscose, or rayon.
- Eco-friendly tip: Old cotton bedding or duvet covers make fantastic, budget-friendly upcycling materials for this project!
