About this Event
Who you are: Someone who wants to learn how to crochet or someone who knows how to crochet and wants to join us to make a balaclava project!
Class Structure: This is a 4-week course hosted on Mondays from 6-8pm. See curriculum below if interested. If you do not compelte you balaclava no fret! We host our Stitch & Bitch Accounibility Group every Monday and you can come to finish with Keelin's help if needed.
This course's classes are: Monday January 6, 13, 20, 27
What to Bring:
A notebook
3 Colors of medium weight acrylic, cotton, or wool yarn.
Everything is included except for you need to bring your own yarn. We would usually provide, but we wanted to allow attendees to customize their yarn colors. We suggest to buy your yarn secondhand at the or a thrift store. If you want to buy new we suggest , or any craft store.
What's Provided:
Size 5mm Crochet Hook
Balaclava Crochet Pattern
Outcomes: You will leave this class with basic crochet skills to use on future projects. As well as, a completed balaclava. We highly encourage graduates of this course to continue coming on Mondays to our Accountability Club.

- Learn basics of chaining, single and double crochet, granny square pattern
- Learn how to gauge yarn and read patterns
- Learn how to assemble and granny square balaclava
- Learn hand stitching and finishing techniques

Meet your teacher
Keelin is a Providence native, textile lover, and host of our knitting club! She has a background in hand knitting, machine knitting, weaving and natural dyeing. Her years in fine art school have lead her to create knit collections and participate in local sustainable fashion projects.
