Beginners Bike Ride (Rising Sun Country Park)

Led by trained Sustrans Volunteers, the beginners rides are approximately 2 hours of cycling at a slow pace with lots of breaks and mainly off-road.

Cycling experience is preferred. Ideally you must be competent on a bike and able to cycle 5 miles.

Depending on the numbers of Volunteer ride managers attending it may be possible with prior agreement to arrange shorter rides for those returning to riding after a long break to build up confidence and stamina which will enable them to join the main ride.

Bikes and helmets can be loaned for free. If you bring along your own bike it needs to be roadworthy.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring along snacks and drinks for yourself. A spare inner tube, bike lock and some money may be useful as we often stop for a cuppa and some cake!

Please meet at the container infront of the Park cafe for 9.30am. The ride will leave at 10am.

Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

In the event of bad weather the ride may be cancelled at short notice - we'll contact you via text if this happens.

Please do not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have recently tested positive.
