August 22 1:00 to 3:30
Jump into the world of spinning with this fun and welcoming beginner class—perfect for anyone curious about the craft! Sharon Parsons, a seasoned spinner with a lifetime of experience at Fairs and Wool craft Shows, will share her passion and expertise.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own functioning spinning wheel if they have one, though spinning wheels will also be available for those who need them. Cleaned wool, wool cards, and a limited supply of carded wool (roving) will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm! Please note, we won’t be spinning in the grease (lanolin) this session—you’ll be working with fresh, easy-to-use wool. Best of all, you get to take home everything you spin and create during the workshop. Come ready to learn, make new friends, and leave with your own handmade yarn!
