Hand Drum & Ukulele Circles For Communities
Since 2010, Tim has hosted public and private setting hand drumming group circle jams as well as ukulele classes for local non-profit charities, family celebrations, schools, summer camps, community groups, libraries, schools and senior living centers.
The beauty of group percussion and ukulele circle jams is participants don’t need any drumming or strumming experience in order to participate or even own gear. Whether you seek a classroom-centric enrichment opportunity where Tim can briefly discuss the history and techniques of percussion and ukuleles before jamming out, yearn for that special surprise at party, or are planning programs for senior citizens and looking to add zest to their golden years, I can cater my public programming to any age group or setting.
Each participant in my percussion and ukulele circle creates collaborative rhythmic jams after learning the basics. It is one of the best team-building and fun exercises out there. The magic is found in the group building upon its own creations.
Tim owns a variety of authentic djembes made or based upon Ghana, West Africa models as well as auxiliary percussion instruments and accessories for groups as large as 30 members. His mahogany wooden set of soprano and concert size ukuleles accommodates up to 20 players all with their own mini-guitar.
