You will learn quilting basics and get a start on a project you can turn into a block, pillow or wall hanging. You will finish it at home. Cost of class $30PM Paper Moon to Reserve a Spot.

Why we use the tools we use
How to use a quilting stencil to mark your designs
Quilter’s knot
Beginning and ending tacking stitches
Gaugeing stitch length
Straight and curved line stitches
Traveling
You will need:
✅ Quilters hoop, 12” is a good size or whatever you have. An embroidery hoop can be used but you will need safety pins to hold layers. It does make the process more awkward!
✅ 2 fat quarters of solid color fabric or 2 pieces about 18-20” square
✅ Quilting needles, also called betweens, a variety pack or size 7 or 8
✅ A spool of HAND QUILTING thread, yes it does matter!!
✅ Thimble
✅ Small scissors for clipping thread
✅ Pencil or other marking pen
I will provide a piece of batting to put between your fabric and a variety of stencils.
All these items are available at Wal-Mart or Amazon. There are a lot of thimbles! I recommend one made by Dritz. (See photos below in comments).
