Beginner MENDING workshop

One of the most satisfying sewing projects is simple mending a favourite piece of clothing; and repairing jeans can be especially enjoyable because denim so easily adapts to all kinds of different patching techniques, sewing abilities and needs.

When mending jeans, it’s key to choose the technique that expresses and is in harmony with the individuality and style of your particular jeans. You want your handwork not only to endure more hard wear, but also maintain and highlight the stylish denim look that you love. Mending is the new glam look of fashion jeans, it’s hip, and industrious.

Mending Workshop aims to keep your fashion pieces away from the landfill. Every piece repaired, expend it’s life purpose.

Basic sewing kit with needles, threads ands etc will be provided.

If you’ve got your own piece need to mend, feel free to bring them over for recommendations on how to mend. (Washed and clean pieces only, soiled clothing will be ignore).

Denim would be use as our starter kit fabric for mending, because of its sturdy cotton texture and material. It is also commonly our favourite material for daily casual wear in this tropical weather country.

Easy to handle and sew on for beginners too.
