Beginner Lauhala Weaving: Mini Dangle Earrings with Pulama Long

Discover the art of lauhala weaving while creating a beautiful pair of mini dangle earrings with cultural practitioner Pulama Long of Honi Hala.
Designed for beginners, this hands-on workshop offers an approachable introduction to working with lauhala on a small scale. Pulama will guide participants through the techniques used to weave and assemble their own wearable creation. No previous weaving experience is necessary.
The workshop photograph represents the style of earrings participants will learn to make. Because each piece is handcrafted, finished earrings may vary in color, pattern, and appearance.
Open to Hawaiʻi residents and visitors alike.

Special community pricing
The regular value of this workshop is $75. With generous support from the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority’s Kūkulu Ola Program, participants may register at a subsidized community rate of $45.
The cultural practitioner receives her full regular workshop fee, ensuring she is fairly compensated for the time, knowledge, and traditions she shares.
