Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop

My name is Kurticiah Thompson and I’m a self taught dancer and choreographer. I have been performing around the Capital District for over 15 years. I enjoy teaching and watching the confidence in my students increase over the time we work together.

I want to provide a safe space to be vulnerable and release a new /different side of yourself.

18 and older are encouraged to participate. I have had the pleasure of having some 50 year old students, so do not let age be the thing that stops you from trying something new.

Make sure you wear comfortable sneakers so you can move freely. The class will incorporate Urban Afrobeat steps infused with traditional West African, Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and Dancehall, so be prepared to move shake and body roll.

There will be time at the end of class for you to have your performance recorded. So wear what feels comfortable and brings out that fun side.

Get yourself some KNEEPADS because there may be floorwork ;)
