Learn to make ceramic forms with basic handbuilding techniques in our Cat Clay Studio!Your choice of options: 4-week course Wednesdays - January 11 - February 1 - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (w/ Casey) OR Wednesdays - January 11 - February 1 - 6:00 - 9:00 pm (w/ Ben) Ages 10+ ($120)
This class is for beginning to intermediate level students interested in learning traditional handbuilding techniques with clay through guided projects. Students will be encouraged to create their own designs through the various hand building methods as they make their own creations. Each project will also be glazed and fired. Intermediate students will work on projects of their own design while learning new techniques and improving the quality of their work. Intermediate students may have access to a wheel with instructor approval. Professional artist and experienced educators, Casey Gurr and Ben Alexander, will be your guides.
All supplies are included. Please bring the following with you:
- Apron (recommended) or clothes that can get dirty
Optional:
- Layered clothing, as the temperatures are sometimes difficult to manage in our large building
- Water/beverage with lid
