What is Hula Hooping?
Hooping transcends backgrounds, languages, occupations, and appearances. We communicate without words and gather without invitations. We dance. We play. We are connected.
Hooping merges physics, art, and meditation seamlessly. It is a creative, playful way to achieve mind-body balance through dance, focus and art.
Hoop dance provides a safe space for emotional release and it improves your core physical intelligence: coordination, flexibility, core stability, and resilience.
In hoop dance, you have an universe to explore new boundaries, to safely discover your creativity, and express yourself through your own movements.
You'll have a community, you'll play with postures, music, memory, breath. All of these are ingredients for your happy body and mind!

Course Details
6 x Biweekly 1.5hours Classes, Saturdays, 13:30.

Our class will be 1 hour, followed by an optional, 30 min cool off / flow jam in the beautiful studio at Dans Dansen.
We will be an intimate group of maximum 12 people, to allow for a focused attention. To start the course, we need a minimum group of 7.
If you will be missing some of the days, don't worry! Each class will have a recap, you would be able to practice at home or together when we meet.

During this course, you will explore the world of hoop dance. The tricks are set to get your body and mind into a dance and flexibility by using the hoop! We will sport, dance, and more importantly, start exploring your flow and have fun!
This is an indicative plan, I will adapt it according to the levels in the group:
- Session 1: Introduction into dance & waist
- Session 2: Lift-ups, Breaks
- Session 3: Weaves & Floats
- Session 4: Chest to Waist and reverse
- Session 5: Dance & Combo
- Session 6: Isolations & Combo
Class preparation:
- All hoops are provided.
- No previous knowledge or preparation required.
- We will warm-up and build up our flexibility, you don't need to worry about your current state.
- Leggings / comfortable clothes are best for a hoop class
- Ideally we will be barefoot, depending on how comfortable you are.
- Hoop dance is not an intense physical activity, but in the beginning you may find it challenging and sweat quite a bit. Bring a towel!
- Bring water
- We'll have some tea/coffee in the common area
