About this Event
Embark on a 4-session journey to develop a strong foundation in 3D modeling essentials using FreeCAD. We’ll begin with 2D sketching, then progress to transforming sketches into 3D solid models using the Part Design workbench. As you advance, apply more sophisticated operations to craft more complex models. The course concludes with multi-body modeling, empowering you to create practical, printable designs. Upon completion, you'll possess the expertise to generate 3D printable models in FreeCAD. This foundational course equips learners with crucial FreeCAD skills, serving as a springboard for self-directed learning and continued growth in 3D modeling. Each session will begin with a lecture portion to explain the concepts and tools, followed by in-class exercises intended to give students an opportunity to practice the material with the instructor available for assistance as needed.
