Beginner Curling League

Slide into winter fun with Indianapolis Cultural Trail’s inaugural Beginner Curling League at Curling on the Canal! Teams of two will compete in a half-hour match every Sunday from January 12 to January 26 at Vermont Street Plaza–West for a chance to win ultimate bragging rights and a trophy. Matches are held between 3-5 PM on our synthetic ice curling rinks and guided by the experts from Circle City Curling Club, who will teach you the rules, scoring, and insider tips to up your curling game. No experience? No problem! This league is open to all ages and skill levels, but participants under 18 must have an adult teammate.

This three week league is limited to 16 teams so register soon! Registration through Eventbrite and $30/team fee is required to secure your spot. A waitlist will be available for additional teams. Once registered, participants will receive schedules and other information via email from Circle City Curling Club. Don’t miss your shot for some friendly competition and winter fun on the scenic Downtown Canal!

Getting to Curling on the Canal

Curling rinks are located in Vermont St. Plaza West on the Downtown Canal, just in front of Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown IUPUI (414 W. Vermont St.) and south of the American College of Sports Medicine Fitness Garden. See the Canal map for all the ways to access the Canal and Vermont St. Plaza. Nearby street parking is available on Senate Ave., Indiana Ave. and Vermont St. (east of Senate) and FREE on Sundays.
