Beginner Birdwatching Walk at Leeds Dock - Leeds Lapwings x North Star

Leeds Lapwings and North Star Coffee Roasters are coming together for a relaxed spring morning bird walk around Leeds Dock.

⏰ 7.15am – 8.45am

📍 Meet at North Star, Leeds Dock

We’ll start the morning with filter coffee at North Star before heading out on an easy-paced guided walk exploring the waterfront and surrounding green spaces.

Expect common urban birds, early spring migrants and a fresh perspective on the wildlife around the Dock. No prior birdwatching experience is needed — this walk is open to anyone curious about birds and local nature.

Leeds Lapwings will bring binoculars to share for those who don't have their own. After the walk, we’ll return to North Star where attendees can enjoy a discounted drink and continue the conversation.

🎟 £5 per ticket (plus booking fee)

Your ticket includes:

* Filter coffee before the walk - please bring a reusable cup or flask to take with you!

* A one hour guided bird walk

* A discount on a drink at North Star after the walk

All proceeds from this event go towards community equipment and group running costs for Leeds Lapwings, helping them continue to create accessible wildlife experiences across Leeds.

Spaces are limited to keep the group relaxed and sociable.
