Ready to explore the backcountry but not sure where to start? Our Intro to Backpacking Workshop gives beginners the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take their first overnight trip. You’ll learn how to choose the right gear, pack your backpack, purify water, store food safely, and stay comfortable on trail — all taught by experienced instructors who have logged thousands of miles on America’s most iconic long‑distance trails.

This hands‑on class is designed for people with 0–15 backpacking experiences and includes practical demonstrations, expert guidance, and plenty of time for questions. Whether you’re preparing for your first overnight or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, you’ll leave feeling capable, informed, and excited for your next adventure.
