About this Event
Go from fabric to finished garment
This workshop is designed for people who have used a sewing machine before and are ready to move beyond the basics — someone who wants to walk away with a beautiful, wearable piece they made entirely themselves.
By the end of the afternoon, you'll have created your very own A-line skirt with an inserted zip. This is a small, supportive group with of hands-on guidance throughout .
What you'll learn:
- How to read a sewing pattern
- How to lay, mark, pin and cut fabric
- How to insert a zip — a skill that opens up a whole world of garment making
- How to hem neatly
- How to use different sewing machine feet and when to use them
Everything is provided. All equipment, fabric, pattern, thread and materials are included. Just bring yourself and a readiness to level up your sewing.
Please note: booking closes 3 days before the workshop date. After this point no refund can be issued, as preparations will already be underway.
