BEGIN THE BEGIN members grew up on early R.E.M. songs in high school and college, trading bootleg cassette tape versions of obscure recordings and live shows. They bring polished precision to the R.E.M. tunes and make the live shows fun, entertaining, and nostalgic with high energy.
Left of the Dial
With a name pulled straight from The Replacement’s iconic anthem, Left of the Dial captures the spirit, chaos, and catharsis of the Minneapolis legends with raw energy and heartfelt fidelity. They deliver the hits, deep cuts, and spontaneous moments that made the band infamous. From the boozy swagger of “I'll Buy” to the tender ache of “Unsatisfied,” their set is both a celebration and a reimagining of one of punk’s most influential and unpredictable bands. Left of the Dial brings the same urgent, beautiful mess to the stage. Come for the songs. Stay for the beautiful trainwreck.
🚙LOCATION & PARKING We are located at 11119 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS. There is parking behind the theater, along the street and across the street.
FOOD & BEVERAGE OPTIONS 🍺Our full bar includes domestic & craft beer, full selection of alcohol and specialty drinks. Soft drinks, popcorn🍿, and snacks are also available at the bar. 🏪Outside food from local downtown Shawnee eateries can be brought into the venue (we love supporting our business friends in downtown Shawnee). No outside drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are allowed in the venue.
🚚Food Trucks are often outside of Transport Brewery. They may change without notice.
What we offer our patrons
NO advanced ticketing fees!! The price you see online is the price you pay! Ticket pricing INCREASES the day of the show. Tables with seats that include admission to the venue are available (while supplies last) either in the VIP section, or near the stage.
Venue seating
The auditorium has 4 ADA wheelchair spots plus 186 seats, including 104 general admission theater seats, 26 reserved theater seats, and 56 seats at 15 different tables.
