Befriending Grief: Living With Loss Throughout Life\

Julie Kays, MS, LCPC, NCC is a licensed clinical counselor working in the field of grief and loss as a counselor & educator.

A tremendous amount of loss is accumulated over our lifetimes and whether caused by physical deaths, chronic health issues, fractured relationships, life transitions or the state of the world we live in – everything we can’t change or hold on to must be grieved. Gather with other women to touch all that grieves us, find ways to move through pain and learn healthy ways of integrating loss into our lives.

· Identify types of death and non-death losses we accumulate over our lifetime and learn why every loss must be grieved

· Understand how cultural messages related to aging, dying and self-reliance impact grieving

· Develop healthy ways to process grief and incorporate loss into our lives

· Explore how living with the reality of impermanence can enhance our lives
