SPEAKERS PROFILE:
Ustadha Ameena Blake (Sheffield, UK)
Ustadha Ameena is a Muslim scholar with a Masters degree in Islamic Studies. Other qualifications include: BA English Studies, PG in Teaching & MSc in Leadership and Management.
She is a Director of the Eden House UK (EHUK) - A women's refuge project. She also serves as a Chaplain in The University of Sheffield, South Yorkshire Police & lectures in Islamic Studies at Markfield Institute of Higher Education.
Ustadha teaches across the globe at, courses & conferences as well as on social media and is a regular on Islam Channel. She is an instructor for Al Balagh Academy, Roots Academy and the Lead Program.
Ustadha has sat on several Mosque boards over the past two decades and served as ASG of the Muslim Council of Britain as well as sitting as an Islamic advisor on various platforms.
She was given the Beacon Mosque, Most impactful Aalimah award in 2022 and is part of the Sheffield University Inspirational Women 2024.
Ustadha Humayraa Nadat
Ustadha Humayraa began her formal studies in Arabic and in both traditional and contemporary Islamic arts and sciences at Markazul Uloom, a seminary in the north of the UK. She later continued her academic and spiritual development at a leading seminary, where she eventually went on to serve as a lecturer. Since then, she has pursued a range of diplomas and specialised courses under various scholars.
Ustadha Humayraa currently teaches Qur’anic Arabic and delivers a 30-day Qur’an programme designed specifically for complete beginners and reverts. Alongside her teaching, she continues to serve the South London community in multiple capacities through her work with the Zidna Foundation.
