Before The Joy, a feature film written and directed by Jamal Smart an international award winning filmmaker, explores pregnancy, relationships, and mental health—with a focus on the father’s experience and what it means to support someone while needing support yourself.
Join us at Bellmore Movies & Showplace for a two-day premiere weekend. Whether you’re a film lover, a parent, someone preparing for parenthood, or simply looking for a meaningful night out, you’re invited. No connection to the cast or crew needed—just come ready to experience the story and celebrate independent filmmaking.

Screening: 4:30–6:30 PM
After-party: 7–11 PM
