Welcome to this month's VHS Movie Night at Harmonie Hall! Join us on Monday October 27, 2025 at 6pm for a spooky double feature! We will be watching "Beetlejuice" and "Army of Darkness".
"Beetlejuice" is a 1988 dark fantasy film directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Alex Baldwin, and Geena Davis. The plot revolves around a recently deceased couple who become ghosts and enlist some untrustworthy help to remove the new living occupants from their home. The film was a critical and commercial success, spawning a media franchise including a TV series, a stage musical, and most recently a sequel. "Beetlejuice" is rated "PG".
"Army of Darkness" 1992 dark fantasy/comedy film directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, an accidental time traveller stuck in the Middle Ages who must battle the undead in his quest to return to his own time. It received generally positive reviews from critics upon its premiere, and later gained a cult following for its fast-paced action, slapstick comedy, and practical effects. "Army of Darkness" is rated "R".
Doors at 6pm; first movie begins at 6:15pm. Feel free to come for one or both! We will likely be starting Army of Darkness around 7:45.
About the event: VHS Movie Night is a FREE event hosted monthly by members of the RoxYunk community, for the benefit of all nostalgic movie lovers. We're in it for the love of the medium - we enjoy all the commercials and take any potential VHS glitches in stride. We will provide some snacks and beverages.
